Provinsi (bahasa Inggris: ceremonial counties) adalah wilayah di Inggris yang ditunjuk oleh Letnan Raja, dan didefinisikan oleh pemerintah sebagai provinsi dan wilayah untuk tujuan Lieutenancies Act 1997 (bahasa Inggris: counties and areas for the purposes of the Lieutenancies Act 1997) dengan mereferensi kepada provinsi metropolitan dan non-metropolitan di Inggris dan Lieutenancies Act 1997. Semuanya sering digunakan pada lingkup referensi geografis, dan dalam artian ini juga disebut sebagai provinsi geografis.[1]

Definisi
Petisi Keletnanan 1997 mendefinisikan provinsi (county) untuk tujuan keletnanan dalam hal wilayah pemerintahan lokal yang dibuat oleh Petisi Pemerintahan Lokal 1972 sebagaimana amandemen. Meski istilah ini tidak digunakan di dalam Petisi, provinsi berikut diketahui sebagai "Provinsi Administratif" (Ceremonial Counties). Bagian 1, paragraf 2–5[2] as amended[3] (most recently in 2009[4]) mendefinisikan provinsi sebagai berikut:
