Gerontologi

Gerontologi (Inggris: Gerontology) yang berasal dari (bahasa Yunani γέρων, geron yang berarti berusia lanjut dan -λογία, -logy berarti ilmu) adalah ilmu yang mempelajari melalui berbagai aspek terhadap proses penuaan yaitu melalui pendekatan biologis, psikologis, sosial, ekonomi, kesehatan dan lingkungan, hal ini yang membedakannya dengan geriatri yang merupakan cabang dari ilmu kedokteran yang mempelajari penyakit dari kaum berusia lanjut.
