Musik house

Musik house adalah genre musik dansa elektronik yang berasal dari kota Chicago, Amerika Serikat pada awal tahun 1980. Musik ini awalnya dipopulerkan sekitar tahun 1984 di Chicago, namun mulai tahun 1985, menyebar ke kota-kota besar lainnya seperti Detroit, Toronto, New York City, San Francisco, Boston, Montreal, Manchester,[1] Miami, London,[1] dan Paris. Kemudian mulai memengaruhi musik populer di Eropa, dengan lagu-lagu seperti "House Nation" oleh House Master Boyz dan Rude Boy of House (1987) dan "Doctorin' The House" oleh Coldcut (1988) dalam tangga lagu pop. Sejak awal hingga pertengahan 1990-an, musik house telah meresap ke dalam lingkungan pop dan musik dansa di seluruh dunia.
