Prakambrium

Salah satu bentang alam bentukan masa Prakambrium

Prakambrium adalah nama informal untuk eon-eon pada skala waktu geologi yang terjadi sebelum eon Fanerozoikum saat ini. Periodenya dimulai dari pembentukan Bumi sekitar 4500 juta tahun yang lalu hingga evolusi hewan makroskopik bercangkang keras, yang menandai dimulainya Kambrium, periode pertama dari era pertama (Paleozoikum) eon Fanerozoikum, sekitar 542 juta tahun yang lalu. Umumnya Prakambrium dianggap terdiri dari eon Hadean, Arkean, dan Proterozoikum.
